LipiKit Trips is built by SparkyMinis Media-Tech LLP ("SparkyMinis," "we," "us," or "our"). We design our products to empower intentional living without compromising your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the LipiKit Trips web app and related services (collectively, the "Service").

2.1 Information you provide
- Account data: If you sign in using the optional profile authentication, we collect your email address and display name via Firebase Authentication to secure access to your trips.
- Trip content: Trip names, destinations, itineraries, checklists, expenses, ratings, and notes you enter. This remains on your device unless you explicitly export or sync using a shared PIN.
- Support requests: If you contact us at [email protected], we receive the contact details and content you provide.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Device storage: We use IndexedDB/localStorage in your browser to cache trip data for offline access.
- Diagnostics: The Service may capture basic error logs (e.g., failed API calls) to help us improve stability. These logs exclude trip content.
2.3 Optional sync data
If you participate in shared trip syncing (available to select users), the app transmits encrypted trip data through Firebase Firestore. Access is gated by a shared PIN you control. You may opt out at any time.
3. Third-Party Services
- Firebase: We deploy Firebase Authentication and Firestore (Google LLC) to provide secure sign-in and optional sync. Google processes data as our service provider under their Firebase Privacy Notice.
- Razorpay: Payments for LipiKit Pro (including donations and upgrades) are processed by Razorpay Software Private Limited. We do not receive your full payment instrument. Review Razorpay's privacy statement at razorpay.com/privacy.
- Progressive Web App (PWA) hosting: When you install the app, static assets are cached locally. No additional personal data is collected through installation.
4. How We Use Information
- To deliver core features such as trip planning, checklist management, and expense tracking.
- To provide optional synchronization across devices when enabled.
- To communicate service announcements, respond to support requests, and share updates relevant to LipiKit Trips.
- To analyze aggregated usage patterns (e.g., feature adoption) that help shape product improvements.
5. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA & UK Users)
- Contractual necessity: Delivering the Service you request.
- Legitimate interests: Improving app performance and preventing abuse.
- Consent: Optional features like sync, marketing emails, or installing the PWA rely on your consent.

- Local storage: You can clear browser storage at any time to delete trip data.
- Sync data: If you opt-in, synced data is retained until you request deletion or revoke access.
- Support communications: Retained for up to 24 months to improve customer service unless you request earlier deletion.

- Review & export: Use the in-app data export to download a JSON copy of your trips.
- Delete data: Clear storage via the app's data management controls or contact us for synced data removal.
- Marketing preferences: Opt-out of promotional emails using the link included in each message.

- HTTPS is enforced for all communications.
- Firebase services inherit Google's security certifications (ISO 27001, SOC 2).
- Sensitive sync data is encrypted in transit and access-controlled by PIN.
9. Children’s Privacy
LipiKit Trips is designed for individuals aged 16 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us to remove it.
10. International Data Transfers
Our servers and service providers may process data in India, the European Union, or the United States. When data leaves your region, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. Material updates will be highlighted in-app and on this page with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use after changes signifies acceptance.
